Gondwana Rainforests extension
The Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area (extension to existing property) is part of the Tentative list of Australia in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List. It is a proposed extension of Gondwana Rainforests WHS.
This extension to The Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area incorporates recent additions to the protected areas and national parks. Sites were chosen which strengthen the key features of the WHS (rainforest types and habitat for certain species) and its manageability. It includes for example Bunya Mountains National Park.
